Our courses run for one day. However the Anglo Platinum Level 1, Level 2 and Exploration Basic Safety programmes incorporate several other key learning elements and therefore run for two days. Similarly the BECSA/ HIRA Basic Safety Programmer for BHP Billiton Energy Coal Contractors, Lonmin Process Division and Lonmin PMR are a two day course.

Yes – subject to registration with and submission of training reports to the SETA.
Why must we do the course every year?
Studies have proven that the average learner retains this knowledge for no more than a year. Because health and safety is so vitally important, it is necessary for this training to be done annually.

How do I know if I have successfully passed the course?
Every delegate is required to complete an Assessment based on the Unit Standard for the particular course. On attaining a minimum of 80% on the Assessment a delegate will have passed the knowledge component and will be issued with a KBC Student Card. A delegate who has not passed will be given time with the Facilitator to revise aspects of the course and will thereafter be Re-assessed. Should the delegate still not pass he/she will be offered one opportunity to redo the full course free of charge on the next available date.
